In recognition of World Suicide Prevention Day, the Mental Health in the Digital Age Lab is hosting a free webinar on suicide prevention in online spaces.
Led by Dr. Jennifer Laffier, Director of the MHDA Lab and licensed psychotherapist, the session explores how signs and symptoms of suicidal ideation may appear in virtual environments.
The webinar also examines how warning signs can present across social media platforms, as well as the resources, tools, and supportive actions that can help promote safety and connection online.
This event is designed to increase awareness and education around suicide prevention in digital spaces, while encouraging thoughtful conversations about how individuals, educators, mental health professionals, and community members can better support those who may be at risk.
