The Lab strives to create opportunities for students each year. Below is a list of opportunities for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students.
Graduate Student Supervision
Dr. Laffier is an approved graduate supervisor for students working towards their M.A. or Ed.D. in education. Each year she takes a maximum number of students to supervise/co-supervise. Dr. Laffier’s background is in psychology and mental health. She is pleased to supervise students working in Mental Health with a focus on education and technology. Research Assistants (Graduate or Undergraduate)
There are various research opportunities throughout the year for students based on approved funding. These projects are tied to the theme of mental health in the digital age. R.A. positions can be short- or long-term positions
Graduate Student Writing Collaborations
Each year Dr. Laffier works in collaboration with students to publish papers on topics related to the labs mission; supporting individuals mental health in a digital age. Past or present students may reach out to Dr. Laffier for research collaboration ideas and further discussion. Writing collaborations give students an opportunity to become published and build their academic profile. High School Student Volunteer Positions
The lab is always interested and happy to host Highschool students looking for volunteer hours! High school students can volunteer on a variety of projects such as 1) camps for children (virtual or in person), 2) social media initiatives 3) conference committee, 4) art workshops for children and parents 5) focus groups, 6) survey and data collection, or 7) gaming or VR research.
